Managing Director, Olympus Capital Asia
Edan Lee is a Managing Director for Olympus Capital Asia, an independent private equity firm. Having joined the firm in 1998, Mr. Lee, together with the other senior partners, forms one of the longest tenured teams in the industry. Since its founding in 1997, Olympus Capital Asia has invested more than $2 billion of equity capital on behalf of its funds and co-investors in over 50 portfolio companies throughout Asia.
Asia Environmental Partners (AEP) was established in 2008 by Olympus Capital Asia to make private equity investments in middle-market clean energy, efficiency and environmental services companies in Asia. AEP is currently investing Asia Environmental Partners II, L.P. (AEP II), a $300 million private equity fund.
Prior to joining Olympus Capital, Mr. Lee served as Project Director in China for The AES Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, in the mid-1990s, where he developed and financed some of the most significant foreign joint ventures in the energy sector at the time. Previously, Mr. Lee was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. in the US and in Australia. Mr. Lee holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and BS and BA degrees from Rice University.
