“Sustainability Practice – The Game Changer”
The 3rd annual GGEF themed “Sustainability Practice – The Game Changer” focused on finding actionable solutions to build a sustainable economy. GGEF gathered over 300 C-suites, academics, environmental leaders and policy makers in Singapore in September 2015 at The St. Regis Singapore.
By popular demand, the event was expanded to include a full-day Sustainability Workshop themed “From Sustainability to Profitability” and an exclusive Singapore Corporate Sustainability & Eco-System Site Visit.
- The Sustainability Workshop focused on the practicality of ‘sustainability practice’ and inspiring managers, sustainability officers, or business decision makers who want to learn from the professionals on how to turn sustainability to profitability in the practical business context.
- The Asian Green City Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit consistently puts Singapore at the head of the region. The Site Visit gave participants the opportunity to discover and find out why Singapore is a regional and global leader when it comes to sustainability.

PLENARY SESSION I: THE PRAGMATIC ASIAN WAYS
We will examine what works and what doesn’t when it comes to sustainability practices in business in Asia, particularly within the technology and finance industries. When the demand for clean technologies is so high in Asia, both companies and government are pouring a lot of their resources into R&D through either investing or acquiring clean technologies for a practical reason. However, will investors lose their appetite in such initiatives with a sliding oil price on the backdrop? If not, can investment keep up with such demands? How much could innovative technology and ‘green’ finance help in changing the landscape of a sustainable future? Are they the game changer? While both innovation and investment are playing their role in improving our environment, we will also learn from companies that can share their success experience in Asia.

What are the good examples of supply chain management?Food safety is an universal hot topic nowadays and its correlation to supply chain is a big debate.
